Pollinator-friendly landscaping around a home adds beauty and splendor to the outdoors. They can also add value to a home, which is why it's a smart idea to encourage your clients to update their spaces to include a pollinator garden. Advise your clients to adhere to the following steps to encourage pollinators to visit their foliage:
Avoid pesticides if possible. Certain pesticides are toxic to bees, so tell your clients to use non-toxic pesticides if they need to. Have them spray at night when bees are dormant.
Plant a variety of flowers. These should be planted in clumps to help pollinators find and use them better. Include plants native to the region.
Provide a hummingbird feeder. To make artificial nectar, use four parts water and one part white sugar. Avoid using fruit juices and honey.
Pollinator gardens are an excellent way to attract bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other beneficial creatures that transfer pollen from one flower to another. Encourage your clients to add one to their yard to bring these amazing creatures nearby.
